First the general instructions

  1. Place the rack in the center and preheat the oven to 425°
  2. Remove plastic wrap from the pizza
  3. Place pizza (still on the tray) in the oven
  4. After 3 minutes pop any bubbles with a fork
  5. Pizza is done when the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted
  6. Typical baking time is 10-18 minutes for regular crust or if you asked for thin crust: 8-12 minutes
  7. Remove the pizza from the oven and serve after a few minutes

Hints for better pizza

  • Let the pizza sit at room temperature for 15 minutes (but not more than 45 minutes) before baking
  • For a crisper crust: remove the baking tray and bake directly on the oven rack for the last 3 or 4 minutes of baking
  • Bake only one pizza at a time. If baking more than 1, make sure the oven is good and hot and rotate pies half way through baking
  • Don't use a baking stone, use the tray the pizza comes with or else place the baking tray directly on the stone
  • Do not use the paper tray in the oven more than once
